Leslie Walter, CNM
Leslie Walter, Certified Nurse-Midwife, is the owner of Water of Life Midwifery. Leslie has served at over a thousand births as a nurse and has had the joy of catching over 200 babies as a nurse-midwife. Prior to founding Water of Life Midwifery, Leslie worked as a labor and delivery nurse for ten years. She left nursing to raise her family when they moved to Maine in 2003. Eight years later she went to Frontier Nursing University, graduating from their nurse-midwifery program in 2014. She has worked as a nurse-midwife in birth center, hospital and home birth settings. Her favorite part of serving women during pregnancy is being present the moment the mother meets her baby face-to-face for the first time.
Leslie and her husband George live in Brunswick and have seven amazing children — all caught by midwives. Current pets include a goofy great dane and very shy cat.
